指向文化意识培养的项目式学习在高中英语阅读中的应用研究

摘要

在英语学科核心素养背景下，文化意识培养已成为高中英语教学的重要目标。然而，当前高中英语阅读教学中的文化教学仍存在表层化以及语言学习与文化表达脱节等问题，学生普遍缺乏运用英语传播中国文化的能力。基于此，本研究将项目式学习（Project-Based Learning, PBL）与文化意识培养相结合，以外研版高中英语必修二Unit 4 When Hamlet meets Peking Opera 为教学载体，围绕“向外传播中国传统文化——京剧”开展高中英语阅读教学实践。教学过程中，教师通过真实情境创设、问题驱动、小组合作、文化比较与成果展示等活动，引导学生逐步实现从“理解文化”到“表达文化”再到“传播文化”的转变。研究表明，基于文化意识培养的项目式学习能够有效提升学生对中国传统文化的理解与认同，增强其跨文化交际能力与英语表达能力，同时提高课堂参与度与学习主动性，促进语言能力、思维品质与文化意识的协同发展。本研究为高中英语阅读教学中的文化意识培养提供了新的实践思路。

Abstract

Under the background of core competencies in English, cultivating cultural awareness has become an important goal of high school English teaching. However, current cultural teaching in high school English reading still suffers from superficiality and a disconnect between language learning and cultural expression, with students generally lacking the ability to use English to spread Chinese culture. Based on this, this study combines Project-Based Learning (PBL) with the cultivation of cultural awareness, using Unit 4 "When Hamlet Meets Peking Opera" from the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) edition of the compulsory high school English textbook as the teaching vehicle, and conducts high school English reading teaching practice centered on "spreading traditional Chinese culture—Peking Opera." During the teaching process, teachers guide students to gradually achieve the transformation from "understanding culture" to "expressing culture" and then to "spreading culture" through activities such as creating authentic scenarios, problem-driven learning, group cooperation, cultural comparison, and presentation of results. Research indicates that project-based learning, which cultivates cultural awareness, can effectively enhance students' understanding and identification with traditional Chinese culture, strengthen their intercultural communication skills and English expression abilities, while also increasing classroom participation and learning initiative, and promoting the coordinated development of language skills, thinking qualities, and cultural awareness. This study provides a new practical approach to cultivating cultural awareness in high school English reading instruction.
